How to Shop

Mostly tonight's post is just in response to a local friend asking me what kind of wine I have at the moment, so I'm posting a brief inventory. Other than that, it's been an odd week, half nice and quiet, and half running around like crazy. Really bad storms spent most of yesterday flooding the area, though I just got to enjoy a day-long thunderstorm. God, I do love the thunderstorms in the South, nothing quite like it.

Some places right near here got flooded so badly that people were stuck in stores and stuff, chest-deep water and all. Kinda reminded me of back in summer of '09 when I was in wading around in water past my waist in the middle of a street in in downtown Charleston trying to help stranded cars. I think there's a dark but recognizable picture of me from that night, standing in the water, somewhere. I'll see if I can find it in the next day or two and post it. That was sure one heck of a night!

Let's see... trying to work out scheduling and all the details to get a few friends to come visit from afar. Vineyard fest is coming up later this month, hopefully that will be a fun little mini-vacation. 2011 Vineyard Fest, Chateau Elan
