Good evening, all... today was actually a little too long for my tastes, but I was paid a few awesome compliments. To begin I was offered a job by an exporter after we struck up a conversation about international trade regulations; for those of you who have been hiding under a rock, it's hard to find a job right now, much less be offered one out of the blue.
Later on I was complimented for my excellent choices in wine pairings and wine recommendations, and this was coming from an exceptionally picky person, so that's a great thing.
This evening, amidst my after-work conversations, a friend referred to me as an 'aestheticist,' which, while not actually a word (but close!) was a great compliment, considering it was about how adept I am at recognizing and appreciating beauty.
Aside from that, it's just been too much work and too much time trying to get set for the move to Columbia so I can start my Master's/PhD program. Feels strange to be officially on my way to being 'doctor'!
