Random Annoyance

Just a few random thoughts of annoyance, many garnered from some recent dining-out experiences:

-People in restaurants... don't send a server out of their way to get something for you and then not use it. This is one of those things that, if I see you doing it, is liable to make me hunt you down in the parking lot and straighten your life out.

-I've come to the conclusion that there are two reasons I don't play tennis on a regular basis: first, my muscles have trouble distinguishing between 'hit the ball over the net' and 'hit the ball over the neighboring county', and second, I'm not a pretentious rich asshat.

-Parents... stop letting your kids smear ketchup all over their plate when out to eat. It's disgusting and I will tell you so. Oh, and if your answer to that is "but they like it and it's the only way I can get them to eat!" congratulations, you are a failure.

-Half unsweet and half sweet tea... none of the flavor and all of the unhealthiness. Thumbs-up to you!

-If you are dining out at any decent restaurant and you start pestering the server about where your food is less than five minutes later, the server is perfectly within their rights to beat you over the head with a tray. Just FYI.

-By contrast, if a server ignores you and neglects to actually take your order for over ten minutes, requesting to speak with a manager goes a long way toward free food.
