Thank God it is almost time for a few days off! Now if summer would just let go of South Carolina and let fall settle back in, most things would be in order so I can enough my time out of town.
In other news, the past month or so has been hard on some of the notable people I respect. Just two weeks ago, write Stephen J. Cannell passed away from cancer, and that was a big loss to those who appreciated his works. Also, in early September, much to my surprise, one of my favorite comedians, Robert Schimmel died after a bad car accident. He had beaten cancer and was fighting hard to keep going while in desperate need of a transplant, but he never gave up. His sister is maintaining a website to help his kids; it's worth looking at if for no reason other than seeing the story about what kind of person he was .
