Classes

Tonight was a bit bigger for an evening wine class... seventeen students. Out of those, two had birthdays today. Oh well, we started them off with some Mumm Napa (cut me some slack, it was a class on Napa Valley wines, it's not like I could pull out a champagne, as would be appropriate.) Good class, though, lots of insightful questions and comments. Got to point out a lot of excellent pairings for people, though the dinner entree, a pork chop with mushroom glaze, didn't go well with the heavier cab we had later in the evening. Finally, much to my pleasant surprise, apparently several students liked my advice from last week and went out to get their own bottles of albariño.
