I'm safe and sound... though I was feeling it on the drive last night!
Eh, fuck the rest of the news in this post. Moving on past the creepers.
So, what else is in the meantime? I have a few days off to rest and relax, which is good; I was feeling the need, especially after finishing up last night at nearly 2am and then driving until a quarter of 5. I plan on taking the time, with the exception of some of that stuff for the government mid-week, to go up to the lake, go for some walks, and think and write plenty. I hope to wrap up my editing and most of the ending of my most recent novels. Right now, it looks like we're in for thunderstorms this evening, which I'm perfectly happy with.
I'm one of those rare folks that finds thunderstorms incredibly relaxing and enjoyable. I remember there was one day early last summer I was driving from Charleston to North Augusta on my bike, and it was the most amazing lightning show I've seen. I enjoy that kind of show. For right now, I'm looking at two sleeping dogs and two sleeping cats. I'm starting to feel like I'm in a zoo. But they're good pets.
Speaking of pets, I've got to go take them out the moment. I'll be back later tonight with some humor to lighten the mood a bit!
